What's it like to work at think-cell?

Since think-cell was founded in 2002, we’ve been making the creation of PowerPoint presentations easier, faster, and more enjoyable for over 25,000 companies (and over 1,000,000 users) worldwide. Our add-in is the #1 charting software for PowerPoint, and that’s because of our exceptional people and their skills.

Because we are highly profitable, we follow our own strategy and do not have to make compromises regarding code quality and beauty. Our software is leased, leading to continuous feedback and improvement. Rushed, marketing-driven deadlines are unknown to us because we only release the software when it’s ready.

We have a pretty unique corporate culture that could just be the perfect fit for you. Here’s a look at our working environment and some of our people.

Yet another day at the office?

At think-cell, we believe that a healthy work-life-balance is a key factor in promoting happiness and productivity. We do not work at night or on weekends, yet offer a very competitive salary.

We provide the best equipment money can buy and offer all the perks you can think of. We know that every team member's needs are different, and we try to meet these as best we can.

Writing code is not a lonely business

Our CTO Arno maintains a close working relationship with all of our developers. Together, they review code, troubleshoot, and brainstorm. But sometimes a developer's solution is already perfect from the get-go. In this case, it is directly incorporated into think-cell's code.

Where we're based

Our head office in Berlin is located in the central district of Mitte. If you need to relocate, we can work with you individually to make that possible. Working in our Berlin office is your opportunity for a fulfilling career and high quality of life. Berlin is a culturally rich and diverse city. It’s also safe and family friendly, with great schools and kindergartens. We also have offices in Boston, Denver, London, and Tokyo. For some positions, we offer remote work.

Investing in the future

We are always expanding our team. Our HR department plays an important role in keeping in touch with top talent at different events. We take part in career fairs, collaborate with universities, attend industry conferences, and organize local meetups all over Europe. Some of our developers also give talks and workshops to share their knowledge.

Dog friendly environment

We believe dogs boost morale and encourage you to bring your furry friend to work! Meet Carlos, a 7-year-old Havanese. He’s a friendly pooch and will take a cuddle over a walk any day.

Green commute

We're lucky to be located next to a designated bike path, offering a convenient commute to work. No need to worry about where to park your bike—we provide a secure space to leave your bicycle for the day.

A shared vision

think-cell was founded in 2002 by computer science PhDs and former schoolmates Arno and Markus. With a common vision of applying advanced computer graphics and AI technology to slide creation, they built a company that today serves over 1,000,000 users worldwide. Most likely due to Arno's and Markus' academic roots, think-cell is flourishing without program managers and lengthy meetings. Read the full story here.
