The state of AI in business presentation creation 2026

  • Explore insights from 1,200 professionals in 12 countries.
  • Understand current AI challenges and barriers to adoption.
  • Inform decisions on how to integrate AI into your presentation workflows.

80% of professionals are using AI for presentations in 2026

If you’re not using AI for your presentations in 2026, you’re in a minority. Globally, 4 in 5 professionals have adopted AI in some way to help their presentation workflows, with the US and India the countries with highest adoption at 89% and 97%.

Responses to the question: Do you currently use any AI-powered tools to help with creating presentations?

So what? If people on your team aren’t using AI when creating presentations, ask them why not. Have they not found suitable tools for what they’re trying to achieve or are they struggling to integrate the AI tools into their existing workflows?

The most used AI tool for business presentations in 2026 is ChatGPT

We asked professionals which tools they’re using for presentation tasks, with most currently using generalist tools like ChatGPT, Copilot and Google AI/Gemini.

So what? If you’re looking at AI tools to help your team build better presentations, ask them where their painpoints are. If the main reason they’re using a generalist tool is because that’s what they have access to, consider whether a more specialist, better integrated tool might help reduce friction in their presentation workflows.

Less than 30% of professionals are satisfied with AI for their presentation charts

Satisfaction with AI tools for complex presentation tasks like formatting and slide design (27%) or creating or editing charts (29%) shows a lot of room for improvement.

So what? Today's AI tools might be helping professionals think and write more effectively, but they’re still falling short when asked to execute some of the specialized work required for high-quality business presentations. AI is already creating value but expect a step-change in adoption for organizations that integrate tools that better meet the requirements of the most demanding professionals.

Half of professionals would use AI more if it could offer more relevant outputs

48% of professionals say better quality and relevance of AI outputs would make them more likely to adopt AI tools for presentation creation. At the other end of the scale, only 29% cite potential lower costs or better pricing models as an incentive.

So what? Price isn’t currently the main barrier to adoption of AI. Professionals are willing to pay for tools that can provide value. If you’re looking at AI tools for your team, make sure you choose a solution that will give you efficiency gains without sacrificing quality. AI or no AI, your team won’t be judged on the tools they use. They’ll be judged on their outputs.

77% expect to increase their usage of AI in the next 12 months

Looking ahead, 77% of surveyed professionals expect to be using AI more for presentations in 12 months’ time.

So what? Even if satisfaction isn’t universally high across all presentation tasks, there is real optimism that presentation AI tools will continue to improve and become an established part of professional workflows. For your teams, you need to ensure that an increase in AI usage goes hand in hand with an increase in real-terms productivity.
